The stretch spans bridges 145 (at Pierpoint Lock) to bridge 147 (at Hassall Green) and provides approximately 35 pegs.
The dominant species are roach, perch, gudgeon and the odd carp, barbel  or bream to be caught.

Car Parking and access
There is parking adjacent to the canal at Bridge 146 in Roughwood Lane.
Our stretch spans either side of the bridge to the next lock on either side. 

 

Trent & Mersey Canal - Red Shale Car Park to Kings Lock

The stretch spans bridges 160 (at Red Shale Car Park) to bridge 1467 (at Kings Lock).
The dominant species are roach, perch, gudgeon and the odd bream may be caught.
